I work with individuals and couples who are ready to make changes. Together, we explore and reweave patterns that have outlived their usefulness, enhance and celebrate your strengths, and fortify your authentic self. I seek to address the root of your issues to create lasting change. I offer tools to help you manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress, as well as to help you improve relationships, communication, and daily living. I provide support through various life transitions, which could include grief and loss, health issues, peri/menopause, changes in relationship or career, and more.
I am passionate about working with trauma, addictions, and attachment issues. I offer a variety of modalities to find the right balance of what works for you. Some may choose to use more traditional talk therapy modalities or a “top-down approach,” such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, or Existential Therapy. Others prefer somatic modalities or a “bottom-up approach,” utilizing approaches such as Internal Family Systems therapy or “parts work,” Somatic Experiencing and Brainspotting. Yet others may prefer a more transpersonal, spiritual, mindfulness-based, or animistic approach. I believe that the best approach is what works for you, and I may challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone at times.
I am working toward certification in Brainspotting, which is a body-based modality that evolved from EMDR. Brainspotting utilizes one’s eye positions to address trauma, difficult emotions, and performance, as well as addictions. I am also working toward certification in Somatic Experiencing, which is a somatic modality primarily geared toward healing trauma, addressing chronic pain, and expressing difficult emotions.
I work to create a non-judgmental, laid back, and supportive environment for you to take the steps that you are ready to take. I utilize a social justice lens, I am LGBTQ+ affirming, and I am community-oriented. Please feel free to reach out to schedule a session or to ask questions.
